He is survived by: his son Berkeley Claiborne; his granddaughters, Summer of Irvine, California and Kylee of Irvine, California; and his nieces and nephews, Jesse Gary (Nena), James Denman (Sherry), Julia Culbertson (Bob) and Catherine Thyberg (Charlie) of Des Moines.
