He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles R. Irvine and Helen Irvine; his sister Sally Cross; his children, Chuck Jr. and Julia (Woody Brenton); and also, Francis and Luella McIntyre.

He is survived by: his wife Anne Barr Irvine; his sons, Tom and Ted; and his pet Bo.
