It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles F. Hughes of Des Moines, Iowa, who passed away on February 10, 2025, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Mary Hughes (Lyons); his sister Jane Hughes; his stepmother Nancy Hughes; and his wife Toni Armstrong-Hughes. He is survived by: his father Richard J. "Dick" Hughes; his siblings, Linda Burnsides (Steve) of Council Bluffs, Mike Hughes (Jenn) of Pocatello, ID and Tim Hughes (Karen) of Newton, IA; and his stepsiblings, Jane Goos of Treynor, IA and Eric Goos of Shelby, NE.. He is also survived by 4 nephews, 1 niece, 1 great niece.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home & Crematory (545 Willow Ave, Council Bluffs, IA 51503). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Patrick Catholic Church or St. Albert High School.
