He was predeceased by: his parents, John Clair and Marjorie Bessie McClaran (Manchester); his wife Gene Marilyn Haskell; and his brother William. He is survived by: his grandchildren, Samantha, Benton Jr. and Sarah; his children, Candace (Rose) and Benton (Barb); and his siblings, Hollis McClaran, Nathalie McCleeary and Nancy Cotterill. He is also survived by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, many cousins, nieces, nephews.
