She was predeceased by: her parents, Nels Sorensen and Gail Sorensen (Moore); her stepsiblings, Agnes Nissen, Stanley Sorensen, Clifford Sorensen, Wayne Sorensen, Mildred Lewis, Robert Ball and Mary Warner; and her half-sister Marjorie Tomlinson.

She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, Gary Tomlinson (Barbara), Craig Tomlinson (Cheri), Judith Johnson (Dennis), Pat Middleworth (Laverne), Clara Welch (Donald) and Mary Halbmaier (Mark).

Honoring her generous wish, she donated her body to Des Moines University for anatomical and surgical studies.
