She was predeceased by: her mother Mary McPherson; her husband Larry Steele; her sister Mary Lou Sievertsen (Wes); and her siblings-in-law, Suzanne Reeves, Sandra Bauge, Ralph Leto and Dennis Steele.
She is survived by: her children, Diana Tarpey (Joseph), Daniel Steele (Linda), Mark Steele (Sharrie) and Amy Steele; her grandson Jason Rodgers; her great grandchildren, Matteson and Isabella Rodgers; her brother Jim Prine; and her siblings-in-law, Jane Leto, Kenneth Bauge and Leonard Reeves. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Hamiltons Southtown Funeral Home (5400 SW 9th St, Des Moines, IA 50315). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Committal Service Hamilton's Southtown Funeral Home (5400 SW 9th St, Des Moines, IA 50315).
