We bid farewell to Beryl Dean Halterman (Des Moines, Iowa), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on December 4, 2024 at the age of 94. Beryl Dean touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Chris Halterman and Edna Halterman (Mead); his foster parents, Mun Moody and Flossie Moody; and his former wife Joan Meyers Halterman.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Lea Halterman; his children, Carla Stephens (Dale) of Omaha, Chris Halterman (Anita) and Karin Halterman (Erin Brennan) of Asheville; his grandchildren, Margaret Halterman-Dess (Brian), Sarah Halterman, Andrew Halterman, Lauren Stephens and Brooke Justus (Zach); his stepson Clarke Van Meter of Delhi; his son Michael; and his foster brother Eugene Moody (Ruth) of Maxwell. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Hamilton's Funeral Home (605 Lyon St, Des Moines, IA 50309). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
