It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Arthur William Matlage (Des Moines, Iowa), who passed away on April 4, 2024, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Matlage and Minnie Matlage (Cole); his daughter Terry Matlage; and his siblings, Helen Gilge and Clem Matlage.
He is survived by: his wife Viola Matlage; his daughters, Jeanette Steger (Donald), Sandy Winchell (Greg) and Anna Heiser (Phil); and his siblings, Dorothy Althoff, Fred Matlage, Lester Matlage and Frank Matlage. He is also survived by five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
