He was predeceased by: his parents, John Nicholson and Marita Nicholson (Reiff); and his siblings, Connie Busse and David Nicholson. He is survived by: his wife Paula Nicholson of Denver; his children, Tim Nicholson (Missy) of Waterloo, Lisa Randall (Jeff) of Osage Beach and Tracie Nicholson (Brian Pesek) of Nixa, Missouri; his stepchildren, Ryan Brooks of Waterloo, Dena Brooks of Waterloo and Sara Brooks of Waterloo; his siblings, Tom Nicholson (Tammy) of Cedar Falls and Charita Nicholson of Waterloo; and his sister-in-law Esther Nicholson of Arizona. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren.
