She was predeceased by: her parents, Benedict Faas and Mabel Faas (Winer); and her son-in-law Mike Everding. She is survived by: her husband Darwin Mauer; her children, Bonnie Neuzil (Loren) of Decorah, Brian Mauer (Jenise) of Denver, Derwin Mauer (Julene) of Independence, Laurie Lumetta (Vince) of Cedar Falls, Nancy Conklin (Mark) of Cedar Falls and Tammy Everding of Fairbank; and her siblings, Sylvan, John, Marvin, Robert Faas, Irene Neis and Margaret Huemann. She is also survived by her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 13th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Monday, October 14th 2024 at 10:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Monday, October 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Catholic Church (604 N Broad St, Stacyville, IA 50476).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 653 in Denver, IA.
