It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marilyn Margaret Wente of Denver, Iowa, born in Waverly, Iowa, who passed away on October 7, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William H. Sassmann and Phyllis Sassmann (French); her brother William A. Sassmann; her daughter Nancy Wente; and her grandchildren, Jennifer Wente and Mikel Sassmann.
She is survived by: her husband Harold J. Wente of Denver; her children, Susan Kalainoff (Paul) of Eldridge and Larry Wente (Janet) of Katy; and her grandchildren, Nick, Eric Kalainoff, Melissa Wright, Jessica Sucupira and Jared Annear. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
