She was predeceased by : her parents, Henry W. Meier and Anita Meier (Eick); her husband Herman Emkes; her stepgrandson Brian Miller; her siblings, DiAnna Arthur, David and Ronald Meier; and her brothers-in-law, Duane Paulson, Lonny Arthur, Ronald Clark, Fred Emkes and John Kottke.
She is survived by : her children, Rosemary Weidler (Rodney Miller) and Gary Emkes (Barbara Lovejoy-Hess); her granddaughter Jessica Hannon (Andrew); her stepgrandchildren, Sarah Janssen, Caleb Hess (Christine), Shelly Luiken (Mikal) and Stacey Cochran; her sisters, Verla Paulson, Vernita Eddards and Ruth Clark; her siblings-in-law, Jeanette Kottke, Susie Emkes, Molly Emkes and George Emkes; and her friend Scott Plum. She is also survived by one great granddaughter, and eight step-great grandchildren.
