He was predeceased by: his parents, LeRoy Steege and Wilma Steege (Happel); and his brother-in-law Duane St. John. He is survived by: his wife Sue of Denver; his sons, Brent Steege (Kris) of Denver and Ben Steege (Emily) of Denver; his grandchildren, Mallory, Blake (Ashli), Talan, Annika and Reid; and his siblings, JoLyn Ardis (Al) of Denton, TX, Debra St. John of Cedar Rapids and Mark Steege (Theresa) of Rochester, MN..

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Denver American Legion Hall or St. Paul UCC in Denver.
