It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Duane William Fails of Denver, Iowa, born in Waverly, Iowa, who passed away on September 29, 2020, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Fails and Zetta Fails (Burvee); his parents-in-law, Edwin and Dora Buss; and his siblings, Robert Ray Fails and Sandra Krajewski (Roy).

He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Fails of Denver; his children, Daniel Fails of Des Moines and Karla Tenney (Tom) of Dike, Iowa; his grandchildren, Sarah Andrews (Brian) of Kansas City, Matthew Emerson (Andi) of Hoboken and Tisha Cameron of Des Moines; his great grandchildren, Isabelle Andrews, George Emerson, Alexandria Emerson, Nate Cameron, Arianna Griffin and Natalia Griffin; his great great grandchild Layla Cameron; his siblings, Lavern Fails (Grace) of Waverly and Joanne Tefft (Bob) of Cedar Falls; and his siblings-in-law, Viola Fails of Denver, James Buss (Shirley) of Denver and Richard Buss (Judy) of Denver.
