He was predeceased by: his brothers, Fred and Ray; and his son Bradley Boehmke (Brad). He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Murray; his daughters, Diane Bonnette (Justin) of Denver and Jill Hempen (Kurt) of Parkersburg; and his grandchildren, Haleigh, Keaton, Garrett Hempen of Parkersburg, Allison and Brooke Bonnette of Denver.

Memorials may be directed to the family for a scholarship to a Denver high school graduate pursuing a degree in elementary education, Denver Ambulance, Denver Cares, or any charity of the donor's choice.
