He was predeceased by: his parents, Arlen Platte and Olga Platte (Moehling); and his brother-in-law Charles Meyer. He is survived by: his wife Mary Platte of Denver; his children, Lisa Cox (Dennis) of Denver and Rick Platte of Cedar Rapids; his grandchildren, Krystal Corwin, Haleigh Vette and Dana Cox; his great grandchildren, Shelby Corwin, Kylie Corwin and Blaire Vette; and his siblings, Robert Platte (Zelda) of Denver and Mary Ann Meyer of Sumner.
