She was predeceased by: her parents, August Schlewitz and Martha Schlewitz (Meyer); her husband Wilbert Peters; her sons, Jim Peters and Dennis Peters; her grandsons, Nick and Neil Harding; and her sister Ruth Bruch.
She is survived by: her children, David Peters (Mary) of Waverly, Marvin Peters (Diane) of Marion, Carol Menefee (Norm) of Cedar Falls and Audrey Norte (Larry) of Oronoco, Minnesota; her daughters-in-law, Lois Peters of Tripoli and Connie Peters of Cedar Falls; and her brother-in-law Vernon Peters of Rowlett. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren, along with a special German grandson.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to St. Matthew's Lutheran Church or to Cedar Valley Hospice.
