It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Eugene Gustafson of Denison, Iowa, born in Alta, Iowa, who passed away on July 25, 2023, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernie Gustafson and Mildred Gustafson; his son Andy; and his brothers, Roger and Dennis.
He is survived by: his wife Kathi of Denison; his daughters, Jenny Gustafson of Cedar Rapids and Holly; his son-in-law Ryan Risetter of Waterloo; his daughters, Courtney (Ryan Schulz) of Harwood Heights, IL and Taylor (Luke Dalton) of Corning; his grandchildren, Brady, Addison, Ben Risetter of Waterloo, Eli, Hudson Dalton of Corning and Abigail Schulz of Harwood Heights, IL; his parents-in-law, Gary and Phyllis Hanson of Irwin; and his siblings-in-law, Jeff, Vickie Hanson of Desoto, KS, Dean, Suzanne Hanson of Eagle, MI, Dan, Megan Hanson of Denison and Debi Gustafson of Chandler, AZ. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
In lieu of plants and flowers, the family requests donations be made to the First United Methodist Church in Denison, Iowa, the Crawford County Historical Society of Denison, Iowa, to the family, or simply pay it forward by doing a good deed for another person, especially helping a child.
