He was predeceased by: his parents, Christopf Werneburg and Anita Werneburg (Hinricksen); his wife Nancy Werneburg; his grandchildren, Tad Werneburg Jr., Ciara Werneburg and Nick Stone; and his siblings, Judy Malone and Richard Werneburg.
He is survived by: his children, Sheila Clark of North Carolina, Tad Werneburg (Teresa) of Creston, Roger Werneburg Jr. of Creston, Jamie Werneburg (Amanda) of Osceola, Jeremy Werneburg of Carroll and Nathan Werneburg of Ida Grove; his mother-in-law Shirley Puck of Denison; his stepdaughter Deborah Puck (Travis Daniels) of Carroll; and his siblings, Gene Werneburg of Schaller, Donna Reynolds of Texas and Jan Bierstedt of Lake View. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
