He was predeceased by: his parents, John Traufler and Teresa Traufler; and his siblings, William (Shirley), Thomas and Helen (James).

He is survived by: his wife Janet; his children, Jacqueline (Larry), David (Cindy) and Douglas; his brother Gerald (Arlene); and also Jerry. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
