He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Gilmore and Mary Gilmore (Ireland); and his siblings, Dona Jean, George and Ronnie.

He is survived by: his wife Bessie Freeman; and his children, Richard Glen (Deb) of South Dakota, Pamela Lindberg (Chuck) and David Gilmore (Margaret) of Kiron. He is also survived by 6 grandsons, 12 great grand children, sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
