It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Norma Elizabeth Schmitz (Denison, Iowa), born in Westphalia, Iowa, who passed away on March 27, 2020, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Mathias Leuschen and Mary Frances Leuschen (Baumann); her husband Francis "Frank" Schmitz; and her siblings, Ann Wilwerding, Joe Leuschen, Ruth Friedrichsen and Roman Leuschen.
She is survived by: her brother-in-law Don Friedrichsen of Council Bluffs, Iowa; and her close friends, Juliana and Arlo Schwanz of Denison. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
