She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Mason and Tressia Mason (Johnson); her husband Lawrence E. Slater; her son Bradley Slater; her great grandchild Ethan Burroughs; and her siblings, Betty, Patricia Norris, Harvey Mason Jr. and Jesse Mason.
She is survived by: her children, Cheryl Upton (Roger) of Manilla, Kenneth Slater of Denison, Marty Slater of Denison and Sandy Schiltz of Denison; her sister Carolyn Freerking (Dwayne) of Lincoln, NE; and her daughter-in-law Ann Slater. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Huebner Funeral Home (1437 Broadway, Denison, IA 51442). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at the Crawford Heights Memory Gardens (2400 S Main Loop, Denison, IA 51442).
