It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Marilyn M. Petersen of Denison, Iowa, who passed away on February 14, 2021, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Adams and Marie Adams (Andresen); her siblings, Beverly (Dusty Rhodes) and Albert "Bud" Adams; and her son-in-law Dan Gotto.
She is survived by: her daughters, Colleen (David Miller) of Everly and Cheryl (Daniel Miller) of Bennington; her husband Bernhard "Bernie" Petersen of Schleswig; her children, Elaine Gotto of Denison and Roger Petersen (Shannon) of Urbandale, Iowa; her grandchildren, Justin Gotto (Megan), Jason Gotto, Josh Gotto, Melayna Miller, Damon Miller, Taylor Petersen and Dustin Miller; her great grandchildren, Madison, Cora and Croix Gotto; and her sister-in-law Frieda Adams. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
The family respectfully requests masks be worn and social distancing be observed by those attending the events.
