He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Jake" Sr. Swanson and Evelyn Swanson (Thompson); his siblings, William Swanson Jr., Will Allen, Prince Allen, Eugene Cowan, Mae Allen and Emma James; his mother-in-law Adeline Koenck; and his sisters-in-law, Bonnie Gunderson and Pam Patman.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his children, Mario, Cheqwieta and Shayne; his stepdaughter Dr. Angie (Jason); his siblings, Barbara, Julia, Diane, Angelia (Melvin), Mary Alice, Gertrude, Carolyn (Eddie), Regina (Jerome), Frank (Lynona), Wilson (Barbara), Michael (Laura), Jerome and Andrew (Sarah); and his siblings-in-law, Jack, Jim, Steve and Barb. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, many other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Huebner Funeral Home (1437 Broadway, Denison, IA 51442). A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 12:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at the Westside Cemetery.
