He was predeceased by: his parents, William Halbur and Frances Halbur (Irlmeier); his wife JoAnn Halbur; his son Dean Halbur; his granddaughters, Harlie and Martha Watkins; and his siblings, Clete, Norman, Alvin Halbur and Dolores Meiners.
He is survived by: his children, Annette Watkins (Ray) of Vail, Brenda Freese (Bennett) of Denison, Cindy Dinis (John) of Visalia, CA and Ed Halbur (Sara) of Ankeny; and his siblings, Bill Halbur of Tucson, AZ, Margaret Denker (Tom) of Halbur and Pat Goblirsch (Joe) of Jesup. He is also survived by numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Memorials may be directed to the family and St. Rose of Lima Catholic School.
