He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Neumann and Bertha Neumann (Thies); his brothers, Fred Neumann and Bill Neumann; and his brothers-in-law, Wayne Schroeder and Jim Frederick Sr..

He is survived by: his wife Joyce Neumann of Denison; his siblings, Dale Neumann (Maureen) of Denison, Carolyn Schroeder of Ida Grove, Kathy Wilwerding of Harlan, Coleen Fredericks of Arthur, Karlen Watson (Russell) of Dow City and Maxine Winey (Steve) of Deloit; and his sisters-in-law, Rodonna Neumann of Arcadia and Beth Neumann of Denison. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
