He was predeceased by: his parents, Ervin Olson and Emma Laux Olson; his grandson Dustin Solberg; his great grandchild Shelby; his siblings, Florence Wagner (Oscar), Lucille Pink (Robert), Rose Blau (Merle), Pete Olson (Phyllis), Don Olson, Wally Olson (Valerie) and Bob Olson (Pat); and his brother-in-law John Grindstaff.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou Olson of Denison, Iowa; his daughters, Lori Solberg (Larry) of Denison and Shelly Gruhn (Todd) of Manning, Iowa; his grandchildren, Nick Solberg (Jeanna) of Moorhead, Sarah Gruhn of Ute and Adam Gruhn of Manning, Iowa; his granddaughter-in-law Doris Solberg of Moorhead, Iowa; his great grandchildren, Sidney and Braiden Solberg of Moorhead, Iowa; his siblings, Mary Grindstaff of Baltimore, Maryland and Mike Olson (Pat) of Wesley, Iowa; and his sister-in-law Norma Olson of Fort Dodge, Iowa. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
