He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Grenville Christensen and Edna Christensen (Segerhammar); and his siblings, Susan Christensen and Stanley Christensen. He is survived by: his wife Linda Leu of Denison; his children, Becky (Mitch Carlyle) of Adel and Brian Christensen (Kathryn) of Denison; his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Violet, Jasper Christensen, Maya and Harrison Carlyle; his sisters, Joan (Marvin Lundstedt) of Fontenelle and Janice Christensen of Denison; his mother-in-law Pearl Holbrook of Fremont, Nebraska; and his siblings-in-law, Lynn Christensen of Boulder, Vickie Leu of Fremont, Peggy (Howard Speck) of Omaha, Nebraska and Robert Leu (Stacy) of Fremont, Nebraska. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
