He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Rath and Garnet Rath (Langer); and his sister Anne Lurene Rath. He is also survived by many cousins; and neighbors and friends.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Huebner Funeral Home (1437 Broadway, Denison, IA 51442). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
