With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elsie Cookson (Denison, Iowa), who passed away on April 7, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her children, Brad Cookson and Lynette Ludwig; and her siblings, Alice Marvel, Donald Hansen, Margaret Scanlan, Betty Maroney and Robert Hansen.
She is survived by: her husband John Cookson of Denison; her son-in-law Robert Ludwig of Vail; her grandsons, Matt Ludwig (Jamie) of Philadelphia, Zach Ludwig of Breda and Seth Ludwig (Jessica) of Westside; and her great grandchildren, Zoey, Wyatt, Alexa, Greylin and Walter. She is also survived by other family members and friends.
Memorials may be directed to the family for a donation to be made in her name.
