He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Ulmer and Gussie Ulmer (Sewing); his granddaughter Jessica Hoffman; and his siblings, Jake Ulmer, Jr., Gerald Ulmer and Arlene Nichols.
He is survived by: his former wife Mary Miles; his spouse Irvalee Bamford; his children, Greg Ulmer (Melanie) of Harlan, Nancy (Jim Allen) of Denison, Julie Findlay of Council Bluffs, Jane McAndrews of Dunlap and Debbie (Alan Rule) of Billings, Missouri; and his sisters, Lucille Hull of Denison and Thelma Ulmer of Denison. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
