With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Darrell Lee Slechta (Denison, Iowa), who passed away on December 25, 2020 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Slechta and Mabel Riley (Peterson); his wife Karen Rath; and his siblings, Alice, Ruby, Jerry, Brad and Phyllis.

He is survived by: his children, Todd (Joni), Mark (Kitty) and Lisa; his grandchildren, Darren, Krystin, Megan, Joshua, Morgan, Noe, Landon, April, Aaron, Alisa, Josh, Andrea, Dalton, Abby, Kirk, Devyn and Max; his great grandchildren, Jayden, Braxten, Kinnick, Baby Slechta, Jonah, Makena, Jaida, Camila, Brooklyn, Baby Lawrence, Kara, Hayes, Mia, Elise, Miles and Carter; his siblings, Dennis (Ellie), Ron (Helen), James (Paulette), Ann and Mike (Dawn); and his parents-in-law, Bob, Darlene, Donna and Cindy. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
