He is survived by: his children, Brenda (Benton Birchard) of Manson, Iowa, Heidi (Pat Young) of Norwalk, Iowa and Brent Bruhn (Carol) of Ankeny, Iowa; his grandson Austin Birchard (Ashley) of Humboldt, Iowa; his children, Avery Birchard (April) of Manson, Iowa, Stephanie (Blake Berkley) of Norwalk, Iowa and Steven Young (Shelby) of Red Oak, Iowa; his great grandchildren, Teaghun Birchard, Phoenix Birchard, Adtikus Birchard, Cyrus Birchard, Roger Birchard, Rowan Young and Malachi Small; his brother David Bruhn (Susan) of Charter Oak; and his siblings-in-law, Wayne Harmony of Carroll, Roger Petersen (Maria) of Omaha, Gorden Petersen (Jo) of Denison, Richard Petersen (MarJean) of Denison, Scott Petersen (Karen) of Campbell, California, Sharon (Dale Wellendorf) of Ida Grove and Gail (Doug McLaughlin) of Hubbard, Nebraska. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
