He is survived by: his sister Sue; his friends, Bill Dieber, Bill Davis, Craig Stephen and Carl McGuire; his wife Kathy Bauer of Denison; his children, Casey (Matt Anderson) of Rosalie, Nebraska and Tim Bauer; his grandchildren, Jessa, Tayla and Keagan; his mother Lu Hennessey of Johnston, Iowa; and his siblings, Susan (Dean Hulsebus) of Dallas Center, Iowa and Bill Bauer (Sharon). He is also survived by other relatives and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
