As Carmen departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Carmen may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Carmen leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Oskar J. Jurgens and Margie Jurgens (Rubendall); and her sister Rosemary Schrum. She is survived by: her husband Bob Hamilton of Denison; her daughters, Christi Scherber (Brian) of Richmond, Melissa Siefken (Rusty) of Omaha, Kelly Harper (Jaymie) of Sioux Center and Pam Gronau (Jarad) of Urbandale, Iowa; and her brother Michael Jurgens of Clear Lake, Iowa. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren.
