She was predeceased by: her parents, Maylen Strong and Eileen Strong (Hauschildt); and her brother Michael Auen. She is survived by: her sons, Chad Gurney (Teri) and Wade Gurney (Andrea) of Schleswig; her grandsons, Mark Hisel, Brayden Gurney and Quinten Gurney; her great grandchild Maylynn Ferrell; and her siblings, Connie Volkmann (Randy) of Denison, Patti Frazier (Eddie) of Denison, Sandy Yarnell (David) of Sergeant Bluff and Jim Auen (Rebekah) of Creston. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
