She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernhard Schmieder and Amelia Schmieder (Werle); her husband LaVerne; her daughter Dr. Judy Wiegel; her great grandchild Sophia Welch; her son-in-law William Driscoll; her grandson-in-law Brian Welch; her siblings, Marie Newland (Barney), Hedwig Schnoor (Martin), Harry Schmieder (Marie), Walter Schmieder (Evelyn) and Benny Schmieder (Ruth); and her siblings-in-law, Irene Wellner (Herman), Lois Laubscher (Fred), Millie (Ray), Raymond (Helen), Roy (Frances), John (Vera) and Leonard (Gladys).
She is survived by: her children, Jane Gierstorf (Ladean) of Norwalk, Iowa, Jeri Lynn Driscoll of Ames, Iowa and James Wiegel (Doll) of Hastings, Nebraska; her grandchildren, Emily Trewin (John) of Sheffield, Iowa, David Gierstorf (Heather) of Johnston, Iowa, Shelby Meek (Dustie) of Norwalk, Iowa, Jamie Burns (Scott) of Lincoln, Nebraska, Lindsay Frey (Zach) of Hastings, Nebraska, Whitney Wiegel (Meghan) of Omaha, Nebraska and Zachary Wiegel (Samantha) of Green, Missouri; her stepgrandchildren, Bill Driscoll of Saukville, Wisconsin, Joel Driscoll (Jeannie) of Versailles, Missouri, Tom Driscoll (Joyce) of Ames, Iowa and Erin Feaker (Mark) of Story City, Iowa; and her granddaughter-in-law June Driscoll of Port Washington, Wisconsin. She is also survived by nineteen great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, as well as other relatives, and friends.
