We bid farewell to Alberta Castillo (Denison, Iowa), born in Storm Lake, Iowa, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on March 22, 2025 at the age of 73. Alberta touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Sargent and Hazel May Sargent (Robeson); her daughter Teresa Castillo; and her siblings, Jessie Taylor, Ollie Sargent and Donald Sargent.
She is survived by: her husband Juan Castillo of Deloit; her children, Melissa Ashworth of Deloit, Carlos Castillo (Tani Brodersen) of Schleswig, Mario Castillo (Karen) of Sac City and Britany Castillo (Nick Wang) of Tainan City, Taiwan; her grandchildren, Anyssa Steffen (Marcus), Trevor Ashworth, Alec Castillo (Katie), Aubriana Castillo, Nautica Castillo (Miseal Flores), Alayna Schiller (Payton), Elijah Ashworth (Stacey), Adam Castillo, Natalie Castillo, Natasha Castillo, Rian Lu and Warren Wang; her siblings, Ronald Sargent (Bobbie) of Laurens, Wanetta Mitchell of Washta, Harold Llyod (Rose) of Spencer, Ninon Llyod of Newell, Tina Hansen (Doug) of Storm Lake and Gary Llyod of Storm Lake; and her sister-in-law Chris Sargent of Norfolk, Nebraska. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Huebner Funeral Home (1437 Broadway, Denison, IA 51442). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at 1623 1st Ave N, Denison, IA 51442.
