We are sad to announce that on December 2, 2022, at the age of 35, Adam Nicholas Burns (Denison, Iowa), born in Spencer, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Gale, Jessie Birdsall, Robert and Norma Jean Burns; his stepgrandmother Myrna "Babe" Burns; and his uncles, Jim Conlon and Tom Watt.
He is survived by: his parents, Dennis Burns and Julee Burns (Birdsall) of Hartley, IA; his wife Katie Burns of Denison; his daughters, Kennisyn and Kirslyn Burns of Denison; his sibling Ryan Burns (Dawn) of Williamsburg, IA; his children, Dylan, Austin, Jon Burns (Libby) of Brandon, SD, Jackson, Kenzi, Iken and Nicole Vinzant (Justin) of Sioux Falls, SD; his grandchildren, Dylan, Sydney and Cameron; his cousin Matt Conlon (Molly); his parents-in-law, Larry and Kathy Sponder of Le Mars, IA; his sister-in-law Amy Schmidt (Adam) of Le Mars, IA; his children, Kynlee, Rylann and Aynslee; his sister-in-law Lindsey Schroeder (Nathan) of Le Mars, IA; his children, Slayton, Easton, Sutton and Gaston; and also, Adam, James and Isabel. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Adam Burns Family for his children's future education fund, his Compete for a Cure foundation, and the creation of an annual Denison High School scholarship in his name.
