He is survived by: his wife Marjorie Hester Van Halm; his sons, Leonard Phillips (Sandra) of North English, Oren Phillips (Lori) of Pella, Steve Phillips of Kalona and Matthew Phillips (Kari) of North Liberty; his sisters, Doris McGee of Oskaloosa and Barb Trenk of What Cheer; his sister-in-law Jessie Phillips of Hedrick; and also Michele Phillips. He is also survived by 6 granddaughters, a grandson, 2 great grandchildren.
