He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Schurke and Emily Schurke (Henningsen); his brother Byron Schurke; and his nephew Kerry Schurke. He is survived by: his wife Karen Preul of Deloit, Iowa; his children, Mindy (Darth Neve) of Harlan, Iowa, Greg Schurke of Deloit and Darin Schurke (Donna) of Arcadia; his grandchildren, Derek, Drew, Delaney Schurke, Owen and Cade Neve; and his siblings, Karen Schurke (Bill Renz) of Deloit, Kenny Schurke (Cathy) of Kiron, Keith Schurke (Joan) of Amarillo, TX, Rick Schurke (Kay) of Denison, Jerry Schurke (Sherri) of Denison and Mark Schurke (Diane) of Vail.
