With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard A. Bennis of Delmar, Iowa, born in Maquoketa, Iowa, who passed away on February 16, 2022 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerry Bennis and Flossie Bennis (Lane); his former wife Sharon Westphal; and his brother Gary Bennis. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Petersen; his children, Jane Bowman (Don) of Fulton, IL, Julie Kapsch (Jim) of Robins, IA, Kent Bennis (Kristi) of Delmar, IA and Kye Bennis (Sara) of Delmar, IA; his grandchildren, Linissa Cooper, Lara Buckles, Liana LaShelle, Lucy Feltman, Mary Kapsch, Blair Bennis, Brie Bennis, Brant Bennis, Drew Bennis and Reagan Bennis; his siblings, Carol Novak and Jerry Bennis (Connie); and his sister-in-law Mary Bennis. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
