She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo Hughes and Mary Hughes (Picray); her husband William "Bill" Cavanagh of Patrick's Church; her daughter Marjorie Delarm; her siblings, Charlene Cavanagh (Pat), Irene Claus (Wayne), Tom Hughes (Aletha) and Merlin "Mick" Hughes; and her siblings-in-law, Shirley Hughes and Duane Kueter.
She is survived by: her children, Deb Maier (Tim) of Dubuque, Joe Cavanagh (Jeanette) of Delmar, Joyce Paulsen (Ron) of Elwood, Betty Diedrich (Steve) of DeWitt, Marty Cavanagh (Laura) of DeWitt, Peggy Trenkamp (Pat) of Preston, Marcy Fox (Dan) of Rowley, Vicki Kennedy (Ed) of Springfield and Ray Cavanagh (Kate) of Delmar; her son-in-law Dale Delarm of Delmar; her daughter Tricia Filloon of Grand Mound; her siblings, Sharon Kueter of Oxford, Linda House (Jerry) of Delmar, Tony Hughes of Cuba City and Mike Hughes (Jean) of Coralville; and her sister-in-law Virginia Hughes of Preston. She is also survived by 29 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Terese's family in her honor.
