It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Marcheta Cooey Lux of Delhi, Iowa, born in Dawson, Iowa, who passed away on August 16, 2020, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Tyler Furman and Pansy Furman (Roberts); her husbands, Archie Cooey and William "Bill" Lux; her son William Cooey; and her stepson Jonathan "Scott" Lux.
She is survived by: her children, Ralph Cooey (Donna) of Longmont and Deborah Knake (Tracy) of Delhi; her daughter-in-law Barb Cooey Shaffer (Danny) of Potosi, Wisconsin; her stepchildren, James Lux (Annette Andrews-Lux) of Clinton, David Lux (Cindy) of Cedar Falls and Julia Thompson (Craig) of Strawberry Point; her stepdaughter-in-law Patrice Lux of Louisville, Kentucky; her grandchildren, Jim Pingel (Linda), Jody Cooey, Ryan Cooey, Justin Thole (Cali), Kamin Loney, Candace Meredith (Dave), Tyler Cooey (Katie), Breana Ray (Carson), Miranda Kracke (Adam) and Austin Knake (Kathleen); and her stepgrandchildren, Chris Lux, Christina Lux (Charles Payne), Joshua Lux (Trisha), Matthew Thompson (Claire), Jared Thompson (Leah), Mark Thompson (Carrie), Anna Danforth (Sam), Jonathan Thompson, Caleb Lux (Susan), Christian Thompson, Nathan Lux, Shannon Lux and Ashlyn Lux. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Because of COVID-19 concerns, masks are strongly recommended at the funeral home and are required at the church.
