He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Hodges and Dora Hodges (Pulver); his sisters, Virginia Heiserman and Mary Hodges; his parents-in-law, Edmund and Gladys Toczylowski; and his grandson John Calvin Chastain.
He is survived by: his wife Naomi Hodges; his children, Jennifer Chastain of Earlville, Stephanie Deutmeyer of Petersburg and C. J. Hodges (Allison) of Iowa City; his grandchildren, Corran, Brylee, Dani, Jenna, Rachyl, Ian and Maddie; and his brothers, William Hodges (Brenda) and Joe Hodges (Angela). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
