It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert James Wilwerding (Defiance, Iowa), who passed away on June 15, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Aloysius Wilwerding and Philomena Wilwerding (Tunink). He is survived by: his wife Luella Wilwerding of Defiance, IA; his children, Diane Yost (Andy) of Logan, IA and David Wilwerding (Janet) of Ankeny, IA; his grandchildren, Shelby Yost, Austin Yost, Caroline Wilwerding and Ryan Wilwerding; and his siblings, Joan Munchrath (Dick) of Omaha, NE, Alan Wilwerding (Kathy) of Defiance, IA and Mary Lou Fortey (Fred) of Monument, CO. He is also survived by other relatives and many friends.
Bob was a regular blood donor, donating more than 17 gallons of blood over the years.
