He was predeceased by: his father James Cheney; his brother Lonnie Cheney; and his brother-in-law John Baggs. He is survived by: his mother Arva Cheney (Schultz) of Deep River; his wife Julie Sutfin of Deep River; his children, Jonathan Cheney (Denise) of Deep River and Jodi Norman (Jamie) of Searsboro; his grandchildren, Cael Cheney, Brea Cheney, Brax Cheney, Emma Norman, Ava Norman and Charlie Norman; and his siblings, Marna Montgomery (Kyle) of Brooklyn, Wayne Cheney of Deep River and Colleen Baggs of Ames. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Deep River Fire Department, the MHP Serenity Hospice House at Oskaloosa or the Morrison-Schrader American Legion Post #296 in Deep River.
