He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia "Joan" Townsend; his children, Liz Fleming (Steve) and Steven McCombs (Rhonda); and his grandson Ryan McCombs. He is survived by: his children, Marcy and John; his sisters, Bernadine Warner and Marilyn Gilmore (Del); his grandchildren, Sara Sherman (Jim), Tanner Van Roekel (Allie), Amanda Lincoln, Jeff Van Voorhis, Samantha McCombs, Michael Van Rheenen (Anita) and Nic Fleming; and his great grandchildren, Nora, Coen Sherman, Madison, Ethan Roberts and Brooks Vosburg.
