With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jodi Cheney of Deep River, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 23, 2025 at the age of 48. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her mother Susan McCullough Schmidt; her father-in-law Bud Cheney; her sister-in-law Crystal Cheney; her grandparents, Allan, Joyce McCullough, Sam and Deloris Schmidt; and her uncle Steven McCullough.
She is survived by: her father William Schmidt of Jacksonville, FL; her husband Roger Cheney; her children, Michael of Deep River, Ryan of Deep River, Madison of Deep River and Krista of Deep River; her siblings, Travis Schmidt (Sara) of Sigourney and Brianne Forbes (Anthony) of North English; her mother-in-law Judy Cheney of Deep River; her uncle Mark; and her aunt Mary McCullough of Deep River.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 at 12:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Community Hope Church (501 N Front St, Montezuma, IA 50171). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
